-I engaged Jeff DeSart and Energy Smart Homes to perform a comprehensive energy analysis of my home. An initial recommendation of efficiency measures was given to us based on an energy usage analysis. Jeff personally explained each measure, the cost, expected payback and estimated investment return. To qualify the initial measures, I engaged Jeff for a comprehensive audit. The audit included blower door testing, duct testing and over 350 pictures. The top to bottom audit confirmed initial findings and the recommendations for efficiency were performed. From initial analysis through test-out, Jeff was extremely patient, knowledgeable and thorough. Upon completion, I was provided with a very detailed report of the work, an analysis of measures that qualify for tax savings, and tools to track my on-going usage. My family felt an immediate improvement in our home’s level of comfort, and we are waiting to assess the actual savings.

-I met Jeff at an Earth Day expo at Central Piedmont college and had them compute a free energy audit. Based on that info, I scheduled a more extensive audit expecting I might not do the work he suggested. Jeff explained all the tests as he went and explained he would write up the results and detailed suggestions with expected savings return including eligible tax deductions. The binder he returned with had explicit photos and recommendations along with the cost savings for each recommendation. Wow! Incredibly complete and thorough in all their descriptions.
