Audits Include
•Energy Analysis: Gather current energy consumption data and house details to analyze current energy usage and identify potential savings.
•Home investigation: Inspect the condition of entire house including crawlspace or basement, attic, exterior, interior and all mechanical equipment, lighting survey, appliance survey and equipment survey.
•Blower Door Testing: To determine the house leakage.
•Thermal Imaging: To locate leaks in the house and duct systems, identify any leaks and to identify areas that are poorly insulated.
•Home Energy Report: All of the data collected and analyzed above is included in the final report, which is yours to keep, including a detailed list that identifies every energy improvement that can be made in the home with a written description, pictures, estimated cost to make the repair and details for making the repairs. Federal, State and Utility tax incentives are analyzed and applied.
Retrofitting Services
Energy Smart Homes can implement all of the efficiency measures needed to make your home energy efficient in a cost effective manner with an emphasis on service and quality control. -I met Jeff at an Earth Day expo at Central Piedmont college and had them compute a free energy audit. Based on that info, I scheduled a more extensive audit expecting I might not do the work he suggested. Jeff explained all the tests as he went and explained he would write up the results and detailed suggestions with expected savings return including eligible tax deductions. The binder he returned with had explicit photos and recommendations along with the cost savings for each recommendation. Wow! Incredibly complete and thorough in all their descriptions.
